Will my call get automatically recorded and saved?

During your Zoom call, you can record the meeting by opening the Betafi App for Zoom and clicking on the “Start Recording with Betafi Sidekick” button. The Betafi bot will sync your timestamped notes with the recording on Betafi.

Do other attendees of the call need to install the Betafi App for Zoom as well?

Only those who want to use the Betafi App to take notes and tag insights need to install the app.

For everyone else attending the call and not taking notes, it is a normal Zoom call. They don’t need to install anything.

Can I try Betafi experience for Free?

We have a free plan for you to experience Betafi. You get 5 hours of transcription and full access to all our features.

What permissions do you need to run the Betafi App for Zoom?

The Betafi App is only active while you are on a Zoom call, and uses the PII (names, emails) of participants on the call to facilitate automatic speaker labelling for the call recording.

In order to utilize the full functionality of the Betafi Zoom App, we require access to the following resources:

View your meetings: This scope is used for optionally syncing your past and upcoming meetings with Betafi sessions.
‍View and manage your meetings: This scope is used for optionally creating Zoom Meetings for Betafi user interview sessions from the Betafi dashboard. Only meetings created from Betafi will be modified.
‍View your recordings: This scope is used for optionally syncing your past meeting recordings with Betafi.
‍View your user information: This scope is used to match your Betafi user account with your Zoom user account info.
‍Enable Zoom App within Zoom Meeting Client: This scope is used to optionally enable access to the Betafi Zoom app during a meeting for interactive note-taking, annotation, and sharing prototypes with participants.
‍Meeting Join Token Access for Local Recording: This scope is used to optionally enable recording with the Betafi Bird bot participant to allow for reliable cloud recording of password-protected meetings.

If I uninstall the Betafi App for Zoom, will I lose all my call recordings and data?

Your call recordings, transcript, notes, and clips will remain accessible on Betafi (at: https://app.betafi.co/).

But in your next Zoom call, you will not be able to use the Betafi App to take timestamped notes, tag insights, and bring your interview questions without the extension present.

Can I remove the Betafi Bot during my call?

You can stop recording during the call to remove the bot, or manually remove the Betafi Bird bot participant to stop recording.

Do note that once you stop the recording, you will not be able to resume it again for that call.

How do I access my recordings after the meeting is over?

After the call is complete, the recording with timestamped notes, transcript and more will be available on Betafi.

Does Betafi automatically transcribe my Zoom calls?

When you add Betafi to the Zoom call, you can select the transcription language you want for that meeting from over 30 languages like Hindi, "Hinglish," Mandarin, Spanish, Bahasa, and more. You can also translate the transcript after the call into English and 130+ languages.

How do I bring my interview questions during the Zoom call?

You can add interview questions or agenda items while creating a project on Betafi.
When you open the Betafi App in a Zoom Meeting, you can select the desired project, and the questions are pulled in automatically.

How do I schedule a Zoom call with the Betafi App?

Schedule the Zoom call/start an instant meeting as you normally would. Once you have the Betafi App for Zoom installed, you can just open it once the call starts.
